To achieve a Bachelor's pass in South Africa, you must pass 6 of the 7 subjects offered, including Home Language with at least 40%, and 4 other subjects with at least 50%. You must also pass the Language of Learning and Teaching (LOLT) with at least 30%.
To achieve a Diploma pass, you must pass 6 of the 7 subjects offered, including Home Language with at least 40%, and 4 other subjects with at least 40%. You must also pass the LOLT with at least 30%.
To achieve a Certificate pass, you must pass 4 subjects with at least 40%, 2 subjects with at least 30%, and Home Language with at least 40%. You may fail 1 subject.
